Curt Schilling, former ESPN analyst and World Series MVP pitcher, has been hammered for exercising his First Amendment rights and speaking out about political correctness. He joined The Glenn Beck Program on Wednesday to talk guns in the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack, why it's a challenging time to be Christian and why he's on board the Trump train.
"You've been getting a beating for quite some time. And you just won't sit down," Glenn said.
Schilling agreed.
"Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing as Christians, anyway, taking a beating?" Schilling asked. "I say that halfheartedly, but this is, I think, for me -- I don't know about you -- this is a very challenging time for me as a Christian because a lot of the things I'm feeling about people aren't Christian."
All humor aside, Glenn had serious issues to discuss with the former baseball star.

"I want to talk about several things. I want to talk about Donald Trump. I want to talk about the media. And I want to talk about gun control because you've been on a Twitter tirade here about gun control," Glenn said.
I got a better idea. Instead of making guns illegal let's just make violence towards another human against the law!

Dare anyone clamoring for gun control. Video yourself, walk into a bass pro shop throw your drivers license on the counter and buy a gun.

"Listen, I'm not a gun nut. I never have been. I was born in Alaska. So I learned how to shoot a gun before I wore a diaper. Because getting killed by a bear on the way to school was actually a possibility in Alaska," Schilling said.
While not a huge gun enthusiast, Schilling does target shoot and fervently defend the Second Amendment.
"My issue and my tirade on the Second Amendment is more, for me, a tirade on the Constitution than it is on the Second Amendment," Schilling said. "Listen, I want my federal government to protect my country, protect my family and take care of the people that can't take care of themselves. Other than that, get out of the way. Let the people take care of . . . we can take care of ourselves. I don't want more federal. I especially don't want more of an administration that is lying and deceitful and phony and fraudulent in my day-to-day life anymore. Get out. Let us do what we can do because we can take care of ourselves."
Changing course, Glenn asked about Schilling's support of Donald Trump.
"Now, let me go here because I don't understand this. You're a Donald Trump supporter," Glenn said.
"If I could pick another candidate, a perfect candidate, yeah, I would pick somebody different. I would pick Mr. Carson. I would give Mr. Carson an authoritative, booming presence that I think he lacked and I would vote for him all day," Schilling said.
However, once Carson left the race, Schilling decided to support Trump. While he doesn't agree with everything Trump has said or done, the real estate mogul has certain attributes that appeal to a shoot-from-hip, say-it-like-it-is maverick like Schilling.
"I'm not making excuses for him, but I want someone with passion. I want someone with conviction, someone that's going to speak from the heart and have a heart for this country," Schilling said.
