On Tuesday, Judicial Watch released emails obtained through the Freedom of Information Act show then-White House deputy strategic communications adviser Ben Rhodes collaborated with other senior White House officials to shield President Obama from criticism following the September 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. In the emails, Rhodes explained the “goal” is “to underscore that these protests are rooted in [an] Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.”

On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked about the damning emails during a tense press briefing, and he concocted a truly bizarre excuse in regards to the nature of the documents. During an exchange with ABC News’ Jon Karl, Carney declared the emails, which specifically reference Benghazi, were “not about Benghazi.”
"This is stunning audio," Glenn said on radio this morning. "Jon is absolutely right on this."
“The emails and the talking points were not about Benghazi,” Carney said. “They were about the general situation in the Muslim world where you saw, as you might recall, it was explicitly not about Benghazi, it was about the overall situation in the region, the Muslim world, where we saw protests outside of embassy facilities across the region.”

"The lies are so, so huge,” Pat said.
“And you know why,” Glenn added. “It’s because good men do nothing. There is one good man [Jon Karl] standing up, but where is every other American in that room? Where is everybody who has an ounce of decenecy?”
In addition to the documents released by Judicial Watch, Wednesday night’s explosive season finale For The Record took a deeper look into the events that led to the attack that killed ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. Laurie Dhue and the team uncovered that the United States government armed terrorists connected to Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood instead of acting on a proposed ceasefire.
With all of this information in mind, Glenn delivered an excoriating critique on radio this morning in which he questioned the motives of the White House and the all too complicit media.
