GLENN: George Soros and the Tides Foundation.

GLENN: Yes. Yes.

I am surprised by that. Not quite as surprised as Chuck E. Cheese.

You know, every morning, I get up because I can't take NPR and the New York Times daily anymore.

So I listen to daily wire. And the update for daily wire.

And one of their reporters said, and people who give to -- like the Tides Foundation should make sure to tell them, that they don't want their money going -- no. That's the whole point of the Tides Foundation.

STU: To launder money.

GLENN: You're not giving money to -- I hope it goes to Mother Teresa. It's not going there.

STU: I mean, you can give money to whoever you want.

So there's no real reason to have to wish and hope and pray it goes to a specific place. You can just give the money to that place. If you want to hide where you're giving the money to --

GLENN: Well, what do you mean by that, Stu?

STU: Well, that's the setup of the Tides Foundation, and they're not alone, of course. There are organizations that do similar things, where you give to this general organization.

GLENN: You mean, like Act Red?

STU: Is there a Win Red? There's some other roughly equivalent organization with the color.

GLENN: Well, good. Quite honestly, good.

STU: They don't do the same stuff, of course.

GLENN: They're not fomenting revolution on the streets?

STU: Well, I don't know. Not here at least.

It's one of those things. Where you can give to a centralized place, maybe not have your name on a destination list. It's a very convenient thing. If you're supporting things that you maybe don't want to publicly announce that you're supporting.

GLENN: Uh-huh. Uh-huh.

So some of the people. Susan and Nick Princer. You know who Nick is, right?

Hey, Nick. No? He's the heir to the Hyatt Hotel empire. So makes me want to go stay at a Hyatt right away.

Let's see. Also, George Soros. I like this one. The Jewish voice for peace.

Which is, they describe themselves as anti-Zionists. I'm trying to figure this out now.

I mean, just -- somebody help me. Just do the math. Do the math.

You're a enjoy. And the history of the Jews, is to be chased out of wherever it is you live.

And you can never really defend yourself, because you don't have a country. Okay?

There's no place to go, and every place that turns on you, takes away your guns and puts you in a camp and tries to kill you.

And the world gives that country to you. Because its main -- its main objective is, you are free to defend yourself. And nobody is telling you, you know, go back to where you came from.

STU: It's a difficult one. You can be critical of an Israeli leadership, right? And still want the Jews to be alive.

Which blamed the October 7th attacks on Israel, and the United States.

That's how bad we are.

All right. So we have that. Now, the students at NYU. Let me see if we have this particular cut. I do believe we do.

VOICE: Which idea do you think North Korea support, Palestine or Israel? Just guess.

VOICE: Palestine.

VOICE: It is Palestine.

It actually never recognized the state of Israel. They have always upheld the right of Palestinian people to self-determination and resistance.

And this is beyond moral and rhetorical support. They've actively armed and trained --

GLENN: Yeah. North Korea. North Korea.

VOICE: -- have trained troops by the DPRK.

GLENN: Wow.

STU: This is the second one of these I've seen. People just sitting there. And she's reading this, by the way. Not as much chant unfortunately.

GLENN: This is crazy!

Yeah, I know.

STU: But you have to come up with something a little more catchy than that. But she is -- that has to be a North Korean operative. Right?

GLENN: Or -- or a Columbia University student, that otherwise known as a complete and total dolt.

STU: Yes. I would agree with that. That's the second one I would see in these protests.

Not talking about the Palestinians. Particularly praising North Korea for the reference. Oppressive regimes in the world.

GLENN: It's time for non-drag queen story hour, okay?

Where the non-drag queen comes out and says, listen, kids. North Korea, they starve their own people.

Really bad. Concentration camps. You know, that kind of thing.

Throwing babies up in the air. Seeing, who can catch it with a sword. North Korea.

Well, I learned a lot from that non-drag queen story hour. How about you, Stu?

Sounds like North Korea. Bad place. How -- how -- how is this person with a straight face really saying, North Korea?

And you know whose side they are on? Yeah. Our side. North Korea is on our side. They're even training people. I mean, they're with us.

Who could stand against us?

Oh, I don't know. All the forces of good.

STU: Imagine advocating for -- I mean, that person is not even advocating for the Palestinian cause.

It's more of trying to win people who already support the Palestinian cause, over to the North Korean cause, which is fascinating. But imagine wanting to be on that side of any debate. This isn't even like the high-minded like olden days of Cuba or something.

GLENN: No. This is --

STU: This is north freaking Korea.

GLENN: We know what they do.

STU: This is one of the most oppressive regimes -- probably the most repressive regime on earth.

But I think China is -- China is at least, has people in their country.

GLENN: Who are not starving.

STU: Or who are wealthy. Right?

They do international business. North Korea does none of this. Everything in their country is controlled by this one family. And this is the mace that won't even give like basic surgeries out to their people. That doctors have to come across the border, to give them basic things like cataract surgeries. They all think they're blind for life. When these basic surgeries would cure them.

North Korea is the worst of the worst.

Now that's the argument they're making?

I like being on the opposite side of that.

GLENN: You know, it's kind of -- people who say, you're on the wrong side of history. What do they know?

Well, in this case, I think we could say, pretty certain. North Korea is never going to be looked at like, you know, those guys were really great. Back in the day, those guys were really great.

STU: Yeah. It would be surprising how this turns out.

GLENN: Yeah. Yeah. Here's another one I think you will really enjoy. Why are you out protesting today?

VOICE: Because I want to see an empire fall!

VOICE: What empire?

VOICE: From the US to Israel, the empire that's propped up by capitalism.

STU: Oh, shocking.

VOICE: Free Palestine. Free Congo. Free Sudan. Free Haiti. Free Hawaii --

GLENN: Wait. Wait. Free Hawaii. Free Puerto Rico.

STU: Yeah, I'm worried about the freedom of Hawaii right now. It's a huge issue. And Puerto Rico.

GLENN: I know. You know, honestly, if Hawaii knows want Hawaii back. I'm cool with that.

STU: It's pretty awesome. I kind of like it. It rounds out our country a little bit. It's like when you have a delicious meal and there's just a little bit of garnish on top. Kind of rounds it out. I feel like that's Hawaii for us.

GLENN: Are you saying -- this is kind of like a DEI thing, we have to keep it in, to keep our diversity?

STU: No, I think it improves the recipe a little bit of our country. You know, you get this great island. You get to go on vacations there.

GLENN: Right. Right.

But we did kind of just, hey. Nice island you have here. It's ours. And I have no problem giving it back.

I really don't.

STU: You just --

GLENN: No. I have no problem.

STU: What about the military bases we have there. They'll rent them to us? Well, that's a unique proposal. You want to go to the 49 states. What about Alaska?

GLENN: No. Alaska stays.

STU: You want Alaska over Hawaii, why?

GLENN: Absolutely. Because some day we can drill for all the oil and rare earth minerals.

STU: You're saying that Hawaii just gives us tourism, not enough to fight for it.

GLENN: I mean, yeah. Colonialism, not willing to fight for it. You know, Hawaii, not willing to fight for it. Really not. Really not.

STU: Hmm. But you won Alaska. It's a lot of land. It's a lot of land.

GLENN: Yeah. It's a lot of land. We won't give that one up. That's kind of like Texas to me. Texas. Alaska. Nope!

STU: Really?

We need to turn something else into a state. You can't go 49. You have to go to a round number.

GLENN: How about we go to 48. Why are you going up. Let's go down.

STU: Well, I want a round number.

I have to knock out four or five. At least 4 to get me to 45. Or 40.

I mean, we can do that. We can knock out --

GLENN: Why not 48?

STU: Because it's not a round number. Am I not saying these words out loud? I keep hearing them in my head. Am I saying a round number out loud? I want a round number of states. Okay? That's what I want.

GLENN: That's a stupid rule.

STU: Okay. This is going to help. Every time we list states that we don't want in the union. This works out well.

GLENN: New York. Massachusetts. Oregon. Washington. California.

New Mexico, really doesn't do anything for us.

It's just kind of there.

STU: Really, breaking bad. That was a great series.

GLENN: Yeah. But it wasn't really filmed there.

STU: I thought it was. I think it was, but you can film stuff there.

GLENN: Then I balance it out with radiation. You know, the whole dump.

You know, with every place. Every community needs a dump.

And so maybe we keep New Mexico.

Just based on, we need a dump. Okay?

STU: That's quite an analysis of the beautiful terrain.

GLENN: Well, it is beautiful. It's the nicest looking dump I've ever seen.

GLENN: I'm not saying we dump our garbage there.

I'm saying we dump our nuclear waste there. Not the -- the same as garbage.

That's expensive waste. That's like waste from rich people.

STU: So you can get me to 40. You don't want to go to 50. No interest to 50.

Wasn't there a split to Idaho. Part of Idaho wanting to pull out. Or Oregon wanting to pull out.

GLENN: Yeah. Oregon.

No. That was just going to become part of Idaho. Half of Oregon was like, you people are crazy.

And they were like, I would rather be the potato people.

STU: What about east Oregon, get you a new state. Get you to 50.

You get two more senators from a conservative state there, doing it that way.

GLENN: No. Because then they'll demand Puerto Rico. No, we freed Puerto Rico. Right? Of course we have.

And --

STU: I didn't know that.

GLENN: And I think we've also evacuated the dump called Washington, DC. That's where we keep our dump. That's where we're like. Hey, all our garbage goes to the District of Columbia. And our prisoners.

STU: That would be interesting. And the prisoners. This is a good idea.

Because too big.

First of all, Washington it can't. Very liberal.

Two proposals, they're very interested in.

Number one is freeing customers, right?

They always want prisoners free. They always say the prisoner industrial complex.

So free them. But they all go to DC.

Right. You're allowed to walk around in DC.

Except for the hardened prisoners. We just lock the front doors, and the front doors and the back doors and the side doors. The hard criminals have to stay there.

STU: Yeah. Yeah.

GLENN: Okay. But everybody else has to walk around.

STU: And then the trash, you know, they're always worried about the environment.

I mean, what better motivator to help clean up all the trash problem. Then all the trash goes directly to Washington, DC.

Is Trump's Trade War with China a "Space Race" for Rare Earth Minerals?

The United States is in a new “Space Race” that may be more important than the first one. This time, the race is against China to get more rare earth minerals. Glenn explains why these minerals are so crucial for our future as technology and artificial intelligence grows in complexity, as well as how the trade war between Trump and China might go. Plus, Glenn discusses how we got here in the first place: addicted to buying Chinese goods with an inflated dollar.

GLENN: China is hitting back. They are dumping our -- our T-bills. Our Treasury bills. Taiwan stocks, wobbling. Consumers, people like you and me, bracing for higher prices. University of Michigan survey says inflation fears are spiking. It's Nixon. This is Nixon.

But take a step back. Trump is not stirring the pot. What Nixon did was he took us off the gold standard, so we could spend more money.

And to make us -- this is what he promised the world, that he would make us consumers, not producers.

So we would consume, what everybody else was producing.

So in a way, that was his plan. And he got it! But it cracked the system for, you know, the average person.

Nixon's tariffs lasted four months, it didn't fix the core. Trump is going bigger and bolder. He says, he will bring jobs home.

Could it backfire?

Yeah. Yeah. Tariffs might add another one to 2 percent to prices. Maybe three to five on your Walmart card. Because everything from Walmart is coming from China.

The Peterson Institute, by the way, has run the numbers. Higher yields could strain our 2 trillion-dollar deficit. Make mortgage prices higher.

The retaliation from China is real. And China is not blinking, and neither are we!

Now, do we stumble into recession. Stagflation like the '70s? I don't know. In the '70s, real wages fell 5 percent in a year.

Here's the flip side. If Trump pulls this off, if we start setting things right, where we mean what we say, and we mean what we say, we get everything under control. We're not just spending. And we have no real assets that we actually are sitting on.

If wages rise, one to 2 percent, like the IMF predicts. If supply chains come home, we could see something new. Not a return to 1971. But a system where the middle class isn't crushed, where houses don't cost your soul.

And where the top 1 percent don't control almost everything. Even Bernie Sanders. Would agree with this.

But, no, no, no, no. But he's not. He's busy with Coachella. Get to that here in a second. Here's the thing, history is a very tough teacher. Nixon's shock showed good intentions and sparked long fires. Inequality. Debt. A hallowed out heartland.

This is a very big stakes game. But what has a higher cost is not trying to fix the system.

That's a slow bleed, and we're almost out of blood. It's been 50 years to prove the point. This doesn't work.

This system is broken. But it's not dead. Imagine a world where our children's jobs actually pay enough, where America is not just buying, but it's building.

That's the gamble. And that is the next generation's new American dream. So we're at a crossroads like we were in 1971.

Hopefully, we're wiser. Trump is not Nixon. He has a history map. Scars and all.

Will he fix what is broke? I don't know.

Things are getting a little dangerous.

And tough. This is where the big boys play. This is why Trump earns the big money, even though he doesn't actually take a paycheck for any of this.

This, we're playing the highest steaks of a game.

And I don't know how many people are really focusing on this.

But this is the ball game.

China now says that they're going to cut us off on rare earth minerals.

Now, we have plenty of rare earth minerals.

There is a new space race. Do you remember when JFK said this?

VOICE: We choose to go to the moon in this decade, and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

GLENN: Apparently, even harder than saying decade, not decade.

Anyway, I digress.

So this was really important, because it was a space race. This would change the world. Whoever got to space first, got to the moon first, would change the world.

But there's a new race, and it is just as game-changing. This one is even more critical.

And that is the race for rare earth minerals. The tiny elements that power everything, in our future.

Right now, China has just pulled a giant gun, and they're holding it to our head.

They are threatening to cut off all exports of rare earth minerals.

And if we don't act, with a JFK kind of moon shot, we will lose the AI race. We will lose quantum computing race.

We will lose every technological leap, that is just over the horizon. Rare earth minerals are not just elements in rocks in the ground. They are the back bone to our modern world. Everything from high-tech, weaponry, that will defend our skies, to the smartphones. That are in your pocket.

To the wind turbine. Eye sores. That the left loves so much. And mean nothing. And the quantum computers, that will redefine what is possible.

Here's the deal: In 2024, we produced 45,000 metric tons of rare earth oxide concentrate from the US. Mostly in the mountain pass in California.

Sounds great. But we only refined about 6500 metric tons of usable material.

66 thousand -- yeah. 6,600 metric tons is our demand every year.

So we're close, and yet so far away. Because 70 percent of what we need still comes from China. And Beijing knows this. And this month, they've halted all exports.

Saying, it's in their national interest to stop.

We knew this was coming. We've talked about this for a long time. Do not be held hostage.

They are weaponizing the rare earth minerals. So what's at stake, and what do we do?

We'll do that in 60 seconds. First, out on the wind rustled prairies can still exist in this country, between the veins and the arteries of American cities and towns, and even just some wild spots in the roads.

They still exist. The men and women who have always made sure that America's supper was waiting for them on the table. They're our farmers and our ranchers, and every day through toil and sweat, they raise the cattle and the pigs and the chickens. And all of the food that we have. So you don't have to.

So I don't have to. So we can go to the grocery store, and fill our baskets.

But every year, there are fewer and fewer of them.

Meat gets shipped in from overseas. Giant meat packing plants drive the small farms and the small ranches out of business.

GLENN: Okay. So everything we need, batteries for our cars. Chips. Everything that we need for quantum computing for AI, et cetera, et cetera. It comes from rare earth minerals. China now produces 270,000 metric tons a year.

That's 70 percent of what the globe consumes every year. We're second at 45,000 tons.

But we're at the mercy of their refining. It's like we have lots of oil. But no refineries.

I can't just pour raw barrels of oil into my car. I need somebody to refine it.

And we don't make refineries. Here is the danger of globalism. We gambled on a world where everybody plays fair. Where supply chains are just a matter of efficiency. But globalism has left us exposed.

And we are -- we are handing all of the power over to China, and that power is the power to choke us to death.

It was a reckless bet. We all knew this was bad. We have -- we have everything that we need. Mountain Pass in California. Bear Lodge in Wyoming. Round Top in Texas.

We have the talent. MP Materials, Rare Element Resources, already stepping up. MP Materials invested $2 billion to get 6500 metric tons refined output. They're ramping up. Rare Elements Resources says with $500 million, they could have a full-scale plant running in 18 months. We have all of the pieces we need. We just need the will.

Experts estimate ten to $15 billion, to make sure that our full domestic supply chain, refining plants. Alloyed production. Magnet factories. Everything. Everything is done here.

And for the money that it would be a rounding error in the federal budget. We spend twice that on stupid crap, every year.

If we can fund the carbon study, you know, carbon footprint studies on I don't know. Turtles. And elves. I think we could probably fund this.

Because the time line is so important. If we use the mandate that we found in November, we could be self-sufficient in five years!

In five years, the whole world will be different.

Without a push from the federal government, we're looking at eight to ten years, and that's way too late. We lose. We lose.

This is about the future right now.

We need somebody, and President Trump to stand up. And define what is important to our future. What are the important things that we have to do, and we have to do right now?

Because jobs coming back, is not enough. The right jobs, have to be here.

And it's required us to have faith.

And, you know, that's hard to give to a politician. Any politician.

Especially if you didn't vote for that politician. If you don't like Donald Trump. You're not going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

You will think he's destroying the country.

And everyone called us conspiracy. They just -- they just released the documents that show that Joe Biden that afternoon. It was try.

And they buried it.

So we're dealing with a country like China. Really, really bad. You know that, and I know that.

We are dependent on China now! And that can't happen.

Do you remember what COVID was like, when everybody was like, oh, you can't get that. You can't get that.

You can't get surgical masks, because they're all made in China.

How many times did we, in 2020, 2021, 2022 say, I've never seen this in the United States before.

You don't have access to rare earth minerals, you can't make batteries or chips.

Okay? Nothing! China is buying them up from all over the world.

And we have created this country, where we can't even mine our own rare earth minerals, and underneath some of our mountains, we have more rare earth minerals than every place in the world combined!

But our government has shut that off. Now, why?

Again, may I remind you of what we just came out of.

The Cloward and Piven strategy. Cloward and Piven were these two university professors, back in the '60s. And when I first brought them up, back in the early 2000s, everybody was like, that's crazy.

She's just a sweet old lazy lady.

She didn't mean any of that stuff.

Yes, she did. Yes, she did.

She was the one at the White House, with Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. That did the motor voter law.

That was her. Why?

Get people, everybody who is registered for a license. Get them registered to vote.

The whole thing -- her whole plan with her husband, Cloward and Piven, the whole thing was to collapse America. Economically.

Overwhelm the system, and collapse it economically.

We're dealing with that reality.

Okay?

Whether it's intentional or not.

We all know, we all know, you look back -- I look at this world, and you see, my gosh.

It's just a sprawling, chaotic system, that we've all been swept up in.

And it has strangely worked in many ways, until it doesn't work.

Because of his something like COVID.

And then all falls apart.

And you look at everything that we're doing. The endless wars.

The draining of our spirit.

And our resources. With these endless wars. Government spending like there's absolutely no tomorrow.

Printing money, until it feels like Monopoly cash. Globalism, that has left us leaning on our enemies, for things as basic as medicine and rare earth minerals.

Elites in our universities. And now running our schools. That are destroying our children, by teaching them to be victims.

And not teaching them how to empower themselves, by learning how to think!

Worst of all, the global governments. The World Economic Forum.

The WHO. The United Nations.

All of those things that have said to us, for years. No. We're not doing that. We're not doing that.

And now we know that they have been doing that. And with our help, from the elites in our own governments. And they have redesigned the world.

They have infiltrated a compliant press, that denies the truth.

They are continually defying common sense.

And they are defying the -- the will of the people. Openly.

Openly. Destroying our nations.

Destroying our history.

Our unity. Now arresting those who dare stand against them.

Whether it's the guy down the street on the school board or at the school board meeting. That is like, hey. You guys are all crooks. What are you doing to my kids?

Those who are protesting rape gangs in England.

Actual leaders running for higher office against the machine in France and Romania.

They tried to do it here.

This is all a house of cards.

And it's trembling under its own weight. And deep down. Every single one of us know it.

One way or another.

We all know it. Whether you're in denial or not, that's up to you. Even those on the left, the ones who have been loudest about keeping it going, all along. The ones who are now protesting and burning Tesla. Unless you're a useful idiot. Unless you're someone who is like, yeah. Our side is always right.

I will burn down a Tesla factory.

Unless you're just a useful idiot, you know, this is not about what's right and wrong.

This is about keeping the decline of this nation, and the entire West, on that path.

Because the elites, some of those that are tied to the last president, and his circle. Pushed this idea, of the Great Reset.

Which is a managed decline.

They see the cracks, just as much as I do. They're trying to control the fall, so they can control our future.

They know there's too much money to be lost. So let's get together with all the big banks. And the big corporations.

And finding out more and more. Our CIA. And everybody else.

And we will manage this collapse, keep the people down. Keep the people quiet. And then we will control everything, and we will reset. That's -- that's not -- God didn't give you the right to do that! God didn't give anybody for anybody to do that to a whole population of people!

So this is what we've been fighting against. And now Donald Trump is standing up and saying, that is so deep and metastasized. To save it, we have to turn this thing 180 -- this is the world's largest aircraft carrier, ever in the imagined nation of mankind. It's like an imperial stormtrooper ship. You know, of a -- of a -- you know, of an aircraft carrier.

Practically half a continent. And you have to turn that thing around!

So let me talk to you about fear.

Just that, should scare the hell out of all of you. Every single one of us, it should scare our children and our children's children. It should scare everybody within the sound of my voice. Because you know it's true!

There is trouble, whether it's intended or not, this doesn't work anymore!

Okay?

And basis we got off common sense. And common values.

Now the question is: Are you going to fear it, or are you going to face it?

And that's really what this election, I think was about. At least for me!

I see one guy who is willing to stand up and say the truth, and then actually follow through with action.

I don't see politicians follow through with action. He is actually not afraid of doing it! I'm not afraid of the truth.

You shouldn't be afraid of the truth. The truth will set us all free!

It's scarier to pretend it's not there!

Yeah. It's going to be tough. It's going to be really tough. We have some hard times ahead of us. There's no sugarcoating.

Nobody should sugarcoat that.

But it's, what is the goal at the end?

Is it for the elites to control everything?

Or is it to give you power?

Because both of them are risky. Both of them could end in violent revolution.

Both of them could fail.

But I know which side I want to win. I want the side that says, hey. These values are worth fighting for, and trying to save.

And it might be our World War II. It might be our Great Depression.

It might be our Civil War. But I would rather take that on, then pass it on to my children. Because I would have my children to have the opportunity sooner rather than later to be free.

The system has been running on fumes. And when it finally sputters out, we're going to feel the jolt, one way or another.

What's been happening this week, is dedicated people, who know what's going on. That says, okay.

I don't want the pain.

But I would rather take it on my shoulders now, than pass it on my kids.

Because we might be able to save it now, if we're honest about what we're facing.

Let me carry the load. Let me mess with the mess that we've made. So they don't have to!

Because a controlled fire is good!

Forest fires are good too, in the end. Long run. But a controlled fire is good.

It gets rid of all the underbrush. And it actually replenishes the soil, so something good could grow. And some controlled burns are going to happen. We have a chance here to rebuild, to rethink how we live.

We cannot continue to rely on far off enemies. We have to start looking closer to home. To our own soil.

To our own hands. To our own people.

We can make things again.

Not the things we made in the past.

We're never going back to those days.

Something new and better is on the horizon.

But we can grow things.

We can stand on our own 2 feet. It's time to say, you're 25 years old. You're not a kid. Adolescence now. Adolescence now lasts until you're 25!

In George Washington's time, you were an adult when you were 13!

Are we getting better or weaker? This is not going to be easy. But what is the -- what's at the end, will either be completely bogus, or real again.

And somewhere inside of me, I know we're not done yet.

World has been through collapse before, empires fall, systems crumble.

But the ones who make it, are the ones who dust themselves off.

So I am for one, willing to take the hit.

I am willing to grit my teeth. Because I believe in what's on the other side.

And I know it's -- you can say it's easy for you to say, Glenn. But I only succeed when you succeed.

I get paid a salary because you have the money to buy things that we advertise. So if you don't succeed, I don't succeed.

I lose everything too. I just want to encourage you to pray on this, this weekend.

And -- and find the strength to at least face the truth. And turn the page.

Because it's not just about survival.

It's a new start!
