Florida is still recovering from Hurricane Helene and the port strikes last week, but they aren't in the clear yet.
This new hurricane, Hurricane Milton, is brewing in the Gulf of Mexico and is moving East toward Florida. The storm is currently rated category five (the most severe category), though is expected to lessen to category three before it hits the west coast of Florida sometime this Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the people of the East Coast, especially North Carolina, are experiencing a severe lack of government aid from FEMA and other agencies. FEMA claims that it has nearly exhausted its hurricane budget for this year (in large part due to spending the money on illegal immigrants), which is the agency's excuse for its lackluster performance. However, this hasn't stopped Kamala Harris from pledging nearly $156 million to Lebanon. So what money is going to be left over for Florida?
Fortunately, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has already stepped in to resolve the port strikes within his state to get goods flowing again. Who knows? All this bad hurricane press might inspire Kamala Harris to scrounge up some money for Florida's aid. And America is full of good people who are willing to help out in any way they can.
What do you think? Is Florida out of luck? Or will someone step up and give them a hand?
