We are living in an era of unprecedented economic flourishing, right? That is at least what Biden is expected to say tonight during his annual State of the Union address before both chambers of Congress. However, the American people have a different story to tell.
Ahead of last year's State of the Union address, we published nine shocking statistics that never made an appearance in Biden's speech. In February of 2023, the American people were growing tired of sending a total of $68 billion in aid to Ukraine amid growing fears of antagonizing a hot war with Russia. A year later, that number has risen to $75 billion, and Putin continues to escalate threats of nuclear war.
Likewise, Americans were decrying Biden's oversight of the worst border crisis in U.S. history, enabling 2.2 million illegal border crossings along the U.S. southern border during the fiscal year of 2022 alone. During the fiscal year of 2023, that number increased to 2.5 million illegal border crossings, bringing the total of illegal immigrants who have entered our borders under the Biden administration illegally to an estimated 10 million. That is double the amount of illegal immigrants who were within the U.S. at the start of his term from all former administrators combined.
As for the economy, do we really need to pull statistics to tell you that things aren't as good as Biden says they are, or does your wallet tell you everything you need to know?
Biden will make his attempt to gloss over his administration tonight in his attempt to make his case for re-election for his second term. But his opinion is not the one that really determines the State of the Union. YOURS does. Let us know what you really think about the state of the union in the poll below:
