Iranian Guard to Release American Sailors, Claims U.S. Apologized
The BBC reports that the United States has apologized to Iran after 10 American sailors were arrested for entering Iranian waters - or so claims the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard naval forces. Kansas Governor Defunds Planned Parenthood
Republican Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback announced Tuesday at his State of the State address that he ordered the Kansas health secretary to stop all Medicaid payments to Planned Parenthood. "Trafficking of #babybodyparts is antithetical to our belief in human dignity," Brownback said on Facebook Tuesday. "No more Kansas Medicaid dollars will go to Planned Parenthood." MORE
'Genital Inspections' to Use Public Restrooms?
A Virginia lawmaker is trying to clarify which gender may use which bathroom. Delegate Mark Cole has introduced a bill requiring boys and men to use male restroom facilities in public buildings, girls and women to likewise use their own, and imposing penalties of up to $50 on violators. Called House Bill No. 663, the measure amends state code to clarify the “use of restroom facilities” in the public arenas of Virginia. MORE
