The cat is out of the bag, and the Democrats can't hide it any longer!
Biden's horrific performance during last week's presidential debate put his rapidly declining mental state on full display. The Biden administration, the mainstream media, and the Democrats have realized they can no longer hide Biden's senility and are in full panic-mode as they search for a way out. Many have come to feel that for the sake of our country's well-being, (and for the sake of winning the election), the Democrats desperately need a new candidate.
This is something Glenn has been discussing for quite some time, throwing out names like Michelle Obama and Gavin Newsom. In fact, Glenn even predicted that the reason the debate was so early was to give the DNC time to find a replacement in case Biden flopped hard as he did. So now that Biden looks like he's on his way out, who is likely to step into his place?

The Vice President seems like an obvious choice. She is already in the White House and part of the administration and could simply step into Biden's campaign and administration without missing a beat. However, many consider the vice president as a campaign liability due to her rock-bottom approval ratings.

Newsom has been in the upper echelons of the liberal elite for years now as he climbed the ranks from Mayor of San Francisco to Governor of California. Newsom has been on the radar for a potential Biden replacement for months, and his firm anti-Trump stance during Trump's presidency has garnered him favor from the left. After Biden's debate performance, Bill Maher named Newsom specifically as his "replacement of choice." But we can't forget that the citizens of his own state mutinied against him in the 2021 recall, and he held onto his position by an uncomfortably narrow margin.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

Whitmer, much like Newsom, gained notoriety on the left for her resistance to Trump during his presidency and for her draconian COVID policies. The governor is known for her radical progressive policies and her position as vice chairperson of the DNC. Whitmer's position as Govoner of Michigan gives her sway in the crucial swing state, a state where Biden has been suffering. As of now, Whitmer has maintained her support of Biden, but when has that ever stopped anyone before?

The former First Lady still holds tremendous popularity, even eight years after her husband left the oval office. It's no secret that the Obamas have been involved with the Biden Administration. Plus, the former First Lady would have all the public support her husband had, making her a very viable option. So far, Mrs. Obama has not shown any interest in running, but Glenn still thinks it's a likely possibility.

Governor Pritzker has an advantage none of the other candidates have: billions of dollars. The heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune, Pritzker has the means to make up for starting his campaign so late by using brute capital force. The Illinois Governor, who has launched several verbal assaults on President Trump, would have to make up for the fact that he is virtually unknown to the larger American audience, but with a net worth of approximately 3.5 billion dollars, anything is possible.
