The media landscape is changing fast.
As Glenn has pointed out time and time again, mainstream media is dying. With plummeting ratings, massive layoffs, crazy scandals, and new issues that come with the introduction of AI, it seems that all the mainstream hotshots know it too. So what's their next move? What does the future of media look like? Here are four mile markers that, according to Glenn, reveal where we are headed:
George Soros is buying the second largest radio broadcaster in the country.

Soros has an extensive track record of propping up left-wing organizations by dumping massive amounts of cash into their coffers. In 2022 alone he forked out $1.3billion, most of which was spent on causes such as Media Matters, Planned Parenthood, and the Sunrise Movement. Recently, Soros has turned his gaze to radio. Last year he bought up 50 Spanish-speaking stations. Now he's working on buying Audacy, the second-largest broadcaster in America. Audacy owns 220 stations across the country and Soros is buying them out for 1.9 billion dollars, which begs the question, why?
The third largest broadcaster is being bought out by a Singapore holdings company.
Audacy isn't the only radio giant being bought out. Cumulus is on the table as well. Cumulus, formerly the ABC radio network, is the third-largest broadcaster in the country and may be bought out by a foreign investment company. Cumulus has asked the FCC for permission to become 100 percent foreign-owned as part of a takeover by a Singapore holding company. What does that mean for America when broadcasters have money ties to foreign governments?
The FCC is pressuring broadcasters to hire based on race and gender.

Speaking of the FCC, commissioner Brenden Carr has come out with a new statement that raises all sorts of alarms. Carr is now requiring all broadcasters to post a demographic breakdown of their workforce so that they can be scored on the diversity of their employees. This would force broadcasters like Glenn to hire, not based on merit and character, but on race and gender.
Mainstream media outlets are experiencing mass layoffs.

Among the mainstream media mass layoffs, CBS recently let go of 800 people, including 20 journalists. One of these journalists was Catherine Herridge, a former colleague of Glenn's from his days at Fox. Glenn suspects that Herridge's ousting was more than just a financial decision. Glenn described Herridge as "an actual journalist," and the New York Post called her a "constant thorn in the side of the Biden administration." Could it be that there is no more room for real journalism at CBS?
