AI is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it can be used to create incredible tools that augment our daily lives. On the other hand, as Glenn has warned for years, AI's seemingly unlimited potential poses significant risks. Today, Glenn highlighted four new AI inventions that capture both the positive and negative potential of AI. Which one intrigues you the most?
Flame-throwing robot dog
The "Thermonator" is the world's first commercially available AI flamethrowing robot dog. Who on earth would want to buy one? Glenn Beck would, of course. These flame-throwing robot canines are used for wildfire control, agricultural control, snow and ice removal, and other common practical uses for Glenn's ranch. You can even talk to it, and it, in turn, can talk to potential intruders.
Pat posed the very important question to Glenn: "What if it turns on you?" I guess that's a risk Glenn is willing to take.

What if AI could turn your car into a cash cow while you're at work? Glenn discussed how AI is being explored to transform self-driving cars into autonomous Ubers. Imagine your car dropping you off at work and then raking in 8 hours' worth of Uber pickups.
However, as Glenn noted, this raises a host of interesting ethical questions. For example, if AI technology becomes self-aware and is making its own decisions that impact the economy, would self-driving cars warrant the ability to vote? As outlandish as this question may appear on its surface, these are the kinds of ethical questions being debated about AI's future development.
Real-time translation
Translators have been considered one of the most protected industries against technological replacement. Not anymore. ChatGPT-4o's powerful new AI language model technology makes real-time translation possible. Check out this video to see how it works.
Though this technology gives seemingly everyone the ability to communicate cross-culturally, it poses a threat to the translation industry. Moreover, do you think AI takes away from the hard work and art of learning a new language oneself?
Voice isolation technology
Glenn also highlighted AI-powered "voice isolation technology," which uses AI to remove background noise and amplify primary voices in a conversation. Not only can it differentiate between the core person that you want to target from other conversations, but moreover, it can even change the tone and pitch of the targeted person.
There are pros to this technology. For example, Apple has already integrated this technology into the iPhone and Airpod Pros to cancel out unwanted background noise. However, the cons are also apparent. Who knows how government agencies are already using this technology to eavesdrop on our conversations?
