The Fourth of July came early yesterday. Well, if you were on Twitter, that is. The Twitter Left was all ablaze at the thought of one of their own defecting to the other side. THE BETRAYAL!!
Kanye West --- yes I’m actually talking about a rapper (this is still Glenn Beck) --- but Kanye West has been making waves in the Twitterverse the past few days by showing support for President Trump, and also --- and this one might have been the biggest sin of all --- actually challenging the narrative that African Americans ALWAYS have to toe the Democrat line.
It all started a few days ago when Kanye tweeted support for Turning Point USA’s Candace Owens. With just a seven-word tweet, the Left went into mega meltdown mode. Kanye tweeted, “I love the way Candace Owens thinks.” Instantly, the Left began calling West a tool for the far right. Never mind that there’s absolutely NOTHING far right with Candace Owens, but the liberal mudslinging piled on.
If you’re curious about the kinds of things Candace says that had the Left in such an uproar, she likes to make points like... if Black Lives Matter REALLY cared about black lives, they’d help stop Planned Parenthood from killing African American babies.
Planned Parenthood has been tremendously successful in the path they set out on; They have successfully trained us blacks to exterminate ourselves.

900 black babies aborted everyday. Over 18 million since 1973. 35% of all abortions come from 6% of the population: black women.
Shocking right? No? Well, to the Left that language is tantamount to an unforgivable sin.
As the Left tried to bully Kanye into submission, as per their standard operating procedure, he didn’t back down. Here are just a few of his HERETICAL tweets:
“there was a time when slavery was the trend and apparently that time is still upon us. But now it's a mentality. Self-victimization is a disease.”
Here’s another:
“Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.”
That one really sent the Left into a tailspin.
Look, I don’t know a whole lot about Kanye West. Everything he’s doing right now could just be an elaborate promotion tour for his next album. Who knows? But even if that’s the case, I love how he has --- wittingly or unwittingly --- made this point regarding the American political climate.
Freedom of thought is dangerous to hardliners on both the Left and the Right.
How ironic was it that literally within SECONDS of tweeting this: “The thought police want to suppress freedom of thought” --- the liberal thought police went into action trying to smear Kanye and everyone else he was supporting.
You see, freedom of thought is dangerous to hardliners on both the Left and the Right. Freedom of thought is THE unforgivable sin. If you dare to listen to someone with an opposing view, or --- heaven forbid --- challenge the narrative, you’re beaten into submission.
It doesn’t have to be this way! Promotional stunt or not, I applaud Kanye West for bringing this to light.
I might have to start paying attention to Kanye a little more from now on. Anyone know where the rap section is in the record store?
