Which is more important to Americans? Sexual liberty, or religious liberty? And do you believe there needs to be a choice between the two? Because I don't.
If we had to choose, I would say it would be religious liberty. Because that's why America was settled in the first place. It's the cornerstone of our Constitution.
But that’s just my opinion. It is definitely not the opinion of Chai Feldblum.
Don’t mistake her for a Starbucks beverage; Chai is a dangerous person in a dangerous position of great power.
President Trump appointed her to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in December, and we’re just now noticing her radical perspective.
Chai likes to label herself as “First out lesbian @USEEOCCommissioner w/hidden disability of anxiety disorder” on her Twitter profile. She is certainly not the type to hide her views. And it’s telling where her priorities are.
This is a woman who is on record saying things like this:
I'm having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win... Sexual liberty should win in most cases. There can be a conflict between religious liberty and sexual liberty, but in almost all cases the sexual liberty should win because that’s the only way that the dignity of gay people can be affirmed in any realistic manner.
And this:
We should similarly not tolerate private beliefs about sexual orientation and gender identity that adversely affect LGBT people.
And this:
A law that permits no individual exceptions based on religious beliefs will be the least restrictive means of achieving the goal of liberty for gay people.
Chai is a government employee who lets her personal, private sexual orientation affect every aspect of her professional work. It’s highly unprofessional and, not to mention, unconstitutional.
Why should one person with a very clear agenda be able to dictate how you run your business?
They shouldn’t.
Her nomination is going to go through, unless we stand up.

She has quasi-legislative powers. She will have quasi-judicial powers, where she can adjudicate cases in the EEOC. This changes everything. If you thought the wedding cake thing was a problem, you haven't seen anything yet.
Now, I want to make something very clear: I have no problem with homosexuals having all the rights and living and working and everything else. They're people who just live a different way than I do. Let it go, people.
However, just like I'm not going to force them to live a certain way, I don't want the government forcing me to live a certain way either.
If we want to be a free society, we must start taking responsibility for our own lives. We have to stop blaming everyone else for our mistakes. We have to stop blaming everyone else for our problems.
And then on top of it, we must start to tolerate one another. People with different ideas shouldn't be terrifying.
What terrifies me are those who believe ONLY their idea is valid --- their idea is the ONLY one that should be heard and discussed. That scares the hell out of me.
No one wants to stand up against their own party.
Trump has made many great appointments throughout his presidency so far. But this is not one of them.
No one wants to stand up against their own party. But it is imperative for religious liberty, for her nomination to be withdrawn.
If we stand up, this will change. And if we don't stand up, we may lose the First Amendment protection on religion.
