Chalkboard Lesson: Timeline — America’s Slide Toward a ‘Total-Control’ Government

On today’s show, Glenn continued this week’s chalkboard series on ‘antifa.’ Technically speaking, antifa stands for anti-fascist, but modern-day antifa members claim to be anti-government, anti-police, and anti-establishment, touting slogans like “Smash the system” and “By any means necessary.” In many ways, antifa groups in the US have borrowed their purpose from their European counterparts. But America’s governmental system was set up to be (and still is) different than the European model.

“The left and right, if you will, are actually anarchy and total control. That is the American system of left and right. This is the way we were set up. This isn’t the way that Europe is set up,” said Glenn, adding, “We have anarchy on one side, no government at all. What does that usually involve? The reason why people who say ‘smash the system’ are so dangerous is because it always ends in mob rule … you need enough government to be able to keep the mob at bay, to make sure there isn’t a strongman somewhere. But that’s all the government should do, protect your rights.”

Introducing a timeline, Glenn starts with the Articles of Confederation, our country’s ‘first constitution’ ratified in 1781. “We first had the Articles of Confederation but it was too close to anarchy,” explained Glenn. “It wasn’t strong enough to hold everything together. So we … in 1789 developed the Constitution and in 1791 we had the Bill of Rights.”

Expert Predicts Ark of the Covenant is in THIS Secret Location

For thousands of years, Christians, Jews, and scholars have debated where the Biblical Ark of the Covenant is hidden. Is it in Ethiopia? Saudi Arabia? Heaven? Or did it never leave Jerusalem and the Temple Mount? Glenn speaks with City of David Foundation’s Director of International Affairs, Ze’ev Orenstein, who tells him his personal theory and why he believes we won't truly find out until the Third Jewish Temple is built. Plus, he explains why “the Ark is not a gimmick” and why there’s no “History of Israel” wing in the British Museum (it might not be the reason you’re thinking of).

Will California Use Bird Flu to Return to Draconian COVID-Era Restrictions?

California Governor Gavin Newsom recently declared a state of emergency over bird flu, and of course his “solution” is to give government agencies more money! Glenn and California refugee ‪@lizwheeler‬ discuss the absurdity of the story: Does Gavin Newsom really want to return to COVID-era draconian policies that much?! “Gavin Newsom is the Justin Trudeau of America,” Genn argues. “The guy is a wannabe dictator.” Also, Liz reveals “the tipping point” that made her move out of California.

How I Brought BRAVEHEART'S SWORD Into Mar-a-Lago

Glenn was recently invited to Mar-a-Lago to give a speech in front of Donald Trump at a PragerU event. But he admits he wasn't really thinking when he decided to bring 2 weird weapons to use as props: William Wallace's sword from "Braveheart" and a World War II-era rat with a bomb in its butt. Glenn tells the hilariously true story of how he got the items past Secret Service and, in the process, became a Secret Service legend that agents may talk about for generations.
