Bruce Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC was both riveting and heartbreaking. Jenner revealed a lifelong struggle with his sexuality and the inner torment that came along with it. When Sawyer questioned him on his politics and he revealed he wasn’t an Obama fan, leftists quickly abandoned support for Jenner.
Glenn reacted to the intolerance this morning, saying "It is amazing how the people on the left just hate -- just hate people if you disagree with them politically." Instead of focusing on the strength it must have taken for Jenner to have this interview with Diane Sawyer, people focused on his political views.
Listen to Glenn react to the despicable intolerance below:
Rough Transcript Below:
GLENN: I tell you, I can't -- I'm going to have an aneurysm this morning. If you saw the Bruce Jenner thing, Bruce Jenner is not a woman. But he's becoming a woman.
STU: That was his last interview as Bruce Jenner supposedly.
GLENN: Yeah. And he's not going to have the surgery.
PAT: At least not for sure. He may. But I think he's kind of content where he is right now.
GLENN: Yeah. He said it's not about sex. It's about, you know, how he feels. And he's felt this way forever. And he said the reason why he went and -- and became the Olympic athlete that he was, was so he didn't have to think about this. Which is, I mean -- it was really a touching interview. Really, you know -- tear your heart out. This guy has gone through a life that is hell. And he said, God didn't make a mistake. He said, God said, you know, I have this perfect little boy. No, wait a minute. I have to give him something that he has to deal with. Now, that's an amazing thing. Because I think that's the way -- I think that's what happens to us. We all have something. This is what he said. We all have something. A cross to carry. We all have something that we have to deal with. None of us are perfect. And I agree with him 100 percent. And it's how we deal with them. Now, you can disagree with how he's dealing with it or not dealing with it. You know, that's -- that's beyond me. I don't know. I really don't know. And I'm not going to judge him.
But what was really truly amazing is how the left has come out and they hate him. Their love for Bruce Jenner is over. Because he -- he announced he was a Republican. Now, I wish he would have come out and have said, I'm a conservative. So you're a Republican? No. No, I'm a conservative. But he's a Republican. And the left has come out against him like nobody's business.
Now, this is the -- this is the group that says they're tolerant.
