Republican pollster Frank Luntz joined Glenn on today’s show to share his thoughts on the latest development in the ongoing investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign.
On Thursday, the FBI searched the office of President Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen, as well as his home and hotel room, looking for evidence related to a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Luntz saw this decision as a frightening example of government overreach.
“If you can basically invade the president’s lawyer’s office and take everything, then there are no limits that the federal government can use,” Luntz said. “It’s frightening to think that our government is so out of control that they can destroy people’s lives.”
Conservatives value the rule of law and respect institutions like the FBI. But what happens when that trust is violated?
“It’s another thread that is being pulled, that divides us,” Glenn said.
