More than 60 are dead and over 1,000 wounded in yet ANOTHER chemical weapons attack inside Syria.
It’s been exactly one year, to the week, since President Trump retaliated with 59 cruise missiles after the last chemical attack inside Syria. The images of men, women and children lying dead or foaming at the mouth, that reportedly prompted the President to strike last year, were just as gruesome and horrifying over the weekend.
The UN has called an emergency meeting for sometime today, but really, does anyone actually expect anything to come out of UN meetings anymore? When Assad used chemical weapons 12 months ago, the UN Security Council was blocked from retaliation by a veto from Russia.
It’ll be the same exact scenario today. All eyes will then shift to President Trump, who may decide to act unilaterally as he did last year. For the first time ever, in a tweet sent yesterday, the President called out Putin directly, placing the blame squarely on his shoulders for quote “backing Animal Assad.”
Deny, deny, deny.
Russia has responded in the typical Russian manner: Deny, deny, deny. Russia apparently thinks chemical attacks just materialize out of thin air. First in the UK and now Syria. Putin is in danger of becoming the international Alex Jones.
Every time something like this happens, it’s always a false flag and the US government is always behind some crazy conspiracy. The next thing you know, Putin will be ripping his shirt off on TV while simultaneously trying to sell you supplements. It’s getting that ridiculous.
So the question now is, will Trump retaliate? 8 missiles struck a Syrian air base last night, and Russia has accused Israel for the attack. No one has claimed responsibility yet, but if any US attack occurs, it’ll probably be AFTER today’s UN Security Council meeting. Military action within Syria has never been more dangerous, with both Russian and Iranian military troops all over the place.
Reports last night indicated Russian air defense units were scrambling to prepare for an imminent US attack. If Russian soldiers die in a US cruise missile strike, this entire thing goes to a whole new level.
Remember when Susan Rice and the rest of the Obama administration PROMISED us that all of Assad's chemical weapons had been turned over to Russia? Remember that? It was supposedly a masterstroke in diplomacy after the debacle of Obama’s infamous “red line.”
They crossed his red line.
Sure they crossed his red line, but Obama used that to have Assad’s chemical weapons removed from the country. Right? Yet another lie from that administration. Weren’t these guys considered the “grown-ups” and the responsible intellectuals when it came to foreign policy?
Take a look around the world. Libya is a failed state, Iran is taking over the entire Middle East and Assad is STILL using chemical weapons --- apparently with Vladimir Putin’s blessing. This is what the “grown-ups” are responsible for.
Thanks, Obama.
