Apparently the mainstream media’s love affair with President Obama is over. During an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, NBC News chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd excoriated the President’s most recent poll numbers. Todd went so far as to say the numbers prove the American public is telling the President his presidency “is over.”
A Wall Street Journal/NBC survey released Wednesday found just 41% approve of Obama’s job performance as president, which ties for the lowest approval of his five and a half years in office. 54% of respondents, meanwhile, believe Obama is unable to lead. On the foreign policy front, just 37% approve of the President’s job, while 57% disapprove
Recognizing the magnitude of the polling numbers, Todd referred to the poll as a “disaster” for the Obama Administration.
"This poll is a disaster for the president… His administration seen as less competent than the Bush administration post-Katrina,” Todd said. “Essentially the public is saying your presidency is over by saying a number like that, 54% saying he no longer has the ability to lead and solve problems. That's one of those things you're just at the White House going, wow. Foreign policy has, I think, entrapped them.”

“That's amazing. More incompetent than George Bush after Katrina,” Glenn said in amazement. “Look what's happening here. Nobody is tagging [Obama] with all the problems. That's just in our gut. We just know this is not right. This is not the way things should be going, and we do know the President is responsible.”
“It's taken five and a half years of a serious beating of the American people to finally get it,” Pat concluded. “But they are finally getting it.”
