There is a truly gruesome report out of the UK that rivals the atrocities committed by former abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell at his Philadelphia clinic. According to The Telegraph, the bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat National Health Service hospitals around the United Kingdom. On radio this morning, Glenn reacted to the story that he likened to the plot of a “dystopian horror movie.”
“This is one of the worst stories I've ever heard. This is Mengele stuff. This is truly Mengele,” Glenn said. “ They are using aborted babies and miscarried babies in the furnace to help heat the hospital so the hospital can stay green. It's a green hospital, you know.”
The Telegraph’s science correspondent Sarah Knapton reports:
Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat.
Last night the Department of Health issued an instant ban on the practice which health minister Dr. Dan Poulter branded ‘totally unacceptable.’
At least 15,500 foetal remains were incinerated by 27 NHS trusts over the last two years alone, Channel 4’s Dispatches discovered.
According to the report, Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge, one of the UK’s leading hospitals, incinerated 797 babies at their own ‘waste to energy’ plant. These babies had not yet reached 13 weeks gestation, and the mothers were told the remains had been ‘cremated.’ Another ‘waste to energy’ facility at Ipswich Hospital, which is operated by a private contractor, incinerated 1,101 fetal remains between 2011 and 2013.
While the report has garnered widespread discuss and horror, Stu couldn’t help but question the sincerity of the outrage.
“My main question was: If you support abortion, why do you think this is even a story? Why are they banning it? What's the problem? Who cares if they are freaking burning fetuses for heat,” Stu asked. “The answer, of course, is that they are lying. They don't care… This is your happy intersection between green energy and universal health care. Welcome to it," Stu said.
Anyone who respects the sanctity of life, however, has every right to be repulsed by this tragedy. Sadly, this story has received far too little coverage.
“You're entering the Mengele territory. Remember, it was the progressives here in America and the Fabian Socialists over in Europe that taught the Germans all about eugenics and the value of life,” Glenn concluded. “But this is what happens after 100 years of Fabian Socialism and progressivism… This is where we're headed… ‘Look, we have to have clean energy, and we have to heat our hospitals. So just use the dead babies.’ That's crazy! That doesn't even seem real. How is that not on the front page of every newspaper?”
