We’re kicking things off with one of the biggest stories on TheBlaze.com this year - a story that ended up being quite surprising to Glenn and most viewers - Ashton Kutcher’s acceptance speech at the Teen Choice Awards. Wait… why is THAT the biggest story of the year? In front of a crowd of adoring teens, Kutcher gave a stirring speech about the value of hard work, kindness, and generosity. The message went far beyond the teeny bopper crowd in attendance and ended up setting the internet on fire.
Check out Kutcher's speech below:
Glenn reacts to the remarkable theme of the message:
Kutcher wasn’t the only celeb to make a splash talking about these values - Mike Rowe, host of The Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, did too when he joined Glenn to talk about the widening skills gap in the United States, the worsening student loan crisis, and the ever-changing perception of a what constitutes a ‘good job.’ Mike is looking to challenge the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding ‘alternative education’, and in a gripping hour of television, talked to Glenn about how he is trying to do that.
Watch highlights of the interview below:
Of course, not all of Mike Rowe’s fans liked that fact he was teaming up with Glenn to share his message, and he received hate mail from many intolerant liberals. Usually when the Alinsky mob goes after someone, they cower in fear. But Rowe responded to the attacks with an epic takedown.
Glenn shares Rowe's response and offers his own thoughts below:
