Remember a couple weeks ago when everyone was blaming the evil Republicans for the automatic spending cut to the federal food-stamp program (aka SNAP)? Well, as it turns out some of money from that cut was diverted to fund First Lady Michelle Obama’s beloved ‘Let’s Move’ project.
“It is the First Lady – her Let's Move program is now being funded by food stamp money,” Glenn said on radio this morning. “You know everybody's crying how the SNAP program has been cut and they are saying the evil Republicans. It's not the evil Republicans. It's the First Lady. Her Let's Move program is being funded now with the cuts that came from food stamps.”
On Nov. 1, sizable cuts were gouged into the federal food-stamp program (or, as it’s now called, SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which feeds 47.6 million people, or nearly one in six Americans.

It’s come to this. Some 76 million meals a year will vanish from this city — poof! — partly because the president diverted money from SNAP to the first lady’s signature program, part of her Let’s Move anti-obesity initiative — the bean-sprout-heavy, $4.5 billion Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act.

The great food grab began in 2010, when President Obama, with Michelle and US Department of Agriculture honchos at his side, signed the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. At the time, he admitted taking cash from one pocket to feed the other.
While the hypocrisy may be stunning, Glenn explained that whoever came up with the idea essentially rob Peter to pay Paul is nothing short of an “evil genius.”
“This is absolutely genius, evil, but genius. And here's why,” Glenn explained. “Do you really think that the people who are on food stamps are ever, ever going to get the message or believe the message that the First Lady and the President took their food stamp money? No one will. They are never going to get that message. Who are they going to get that from? The community organizers? The Jeremiah Wrights of the world? No one will get that message… It will just make them hate the rich, the Republicans, and everything else, and the President is willing to do another boldface lie. And he'll come out and he'll say, ‘They have cut your food stamps.’ And they will believe him.”
“It is diabolical. It is genius and diabolical,” he concluded. “We're playing a game against people who do not have any ethics, no ethics. There are no ethics.”
