Over the last couple weeks, stories have emerged about questionable behavior at Hillary Clinton’s State Department, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the CIA to name a few. From sexual escapades to incompetence, there seems to be a troubling culture shift occurring at some of the nation’s top security and intelligence agencies.
“Look at the woman who's been put in the number two position at the CIA,” Glenn said on radio this morning. “I find this horrifying. This is the president's choice for the number two spot. She used to host an erotica night at her bookstore.”
On Wednesday, the CIA announced that Deputy Director Michael Morell would be replaced by White House lawyer Avril Haines. It didn’t take long for media outlets to poke around and find some intriguing elements from Haines’ past. Perhaps the most odd tidbit is the notion that she once read sexy novels aloud at a bookstore she co-owned years ago. These readings would take place on designated “erotica nights.”
“We've all been there. Come on. Who's casting stones here,” Stu joked.
“I usually wait for S&M night,” Pat quipped.
“I know,” Glenn said. “[Haynes] nominated to the number two role of the CIA, worked at the White House, the council's office, where she approved the covert actions and served as a liaison between the president and the CIA. She owned and operated Adrienne's Book Cafe at Fell's Point. She featured erotica nights, including dinner and a series of readings by guests of published works.”
According to The Baltimore Sun, Haynes was candid about the popularity of the sex-themed book reading. At first she wasn't sold on the idea of hosting erotica readings, but she said she once viewed the themes as pornographic in nature, but after reading some of these stories out loud, her views began to change. “Erotica,” Haynes told the Sun, “has become more prevalent because people are trying to have sex without sex. It offers spontaneity, twists and turns and it affects everyone.”
“The culture has changed. We are fundamentally being transformed,” Glenn said. “If you want to look into history, the worst scenes in American, in global history is always when you… mix the godless alongside with the militant, alongside with the Marxist, alongside with the perverse, you've got a bad, bad mixture.”
“You don't have to believe what I believe, but you are self-disciplined, so you have regulatory control over yourself and not trying to control others,” he continued. “These people want control over others. So when you look at the FBI and you ask when did it happen, well, I would stop trusting pretty much all these people.”
